First Step Nursery & Daycare provides high quality daytime care and education for children aged three months to five years. We are located at the heart of Deptford and a minute walk from Deptford bridge bus stop and Deptford bridge DLR station and we are on the following bus routes: 53, 453,177,225 and 47.

First Step Nursery is open for 52 weeks a year and we are closed for one staff training day per term. The Nursery is open from 7.30am – 6.15pm, Monday to Friday. Parents are respectfully requested to collect their child/ren on time and certainly not later than 6.15pm. A penalty will be charged for late collection and must be paid at the time of collecting the child.

Admission

Children will be considered for entry to the nursery when the registration form has been completed and returned to us and a non-refundable administration fee paid.

Registration fee: £45 per child (non-fundable)

Deposit fee: £100 (refundable)

Full deposit to be refunded when a child leaves the setting. We require one month notice if a child is leaving, during this time full payment must be made for the child up until the last day of the one month notice period.

Fees

1. All fees are charged monthly in advance and must be paid latest by 28th of the month prior to the month it relates to i.e. payment for the month of March should be paid by latest 28th of February. Fees will be invoiced to the person(s) named on the registration form also weekly payment must be made on Friday of every week in advance. It is the nursery policy that all fees should be paid in advance and not in arrears.
2. Monthly fees are calculated on the basis of the weekly charge for the sessions attended, multiplied by 52 (weeks) and then divided by 12 calendar months to create a fixed monthly charge.
