Here at First Step Nursery, we provide children with breakfast, snacks, lunch, and tea every weekday.
We also ensure to provide them with nutritional healthy meals, which lead to developing a healthier eating habits for our children.
We understand it’s important to serve children with a variety of fruits, vegetables, grains, type of meat & fish, and water. Provision is also made for children with food allergies.
Outdoor/Leisure
Active children are healthy children! We have fantastic facilities and plenty of play-and-learn equipment for your children, ensuring they prosper and grow in a well-equipped environment!
Changes in current societies are affecting childhood experiences. Time for outdoor play is diminishing due to children being more occupied with new gadgets and technologies. This has contributed to more sedentary lifestyles and disconnection from the natural world.
Getting outside, experiencing and exploring the natural environment is essential to child and even adult wellbeing. It allows them to learn from nature and interact with their environment around them. Research has shown that playing outdoors allows children to develop self-confidence, independence and self-esteem.
Within a safe outdoor environment, children are able to explore personal risk, whether that was how high they chose to climb, their proximity to spiders, or even the feel of damp leaves and squelchy mud on their fingertips. Children are able to learn the dangers of littering through specific activities and begin to understand the importance of respecting and caring for the world and natural environment.
First Step Nature Garden
Our visits to our nature garden area open children to new encounters and aids them to learn and develop an understanding of nature. associations with what they’re realizing in the learning environment.
Our wonderful team also create ways to make the visits to our nature garden enjoyable and educative for everybody, while giving an instructive encounter that is fun and gainful at the end of such visits.
